PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID

 GCTE has conducted a seminar on psychological first aid. 

SANCTITY DAY 5

      This was the last day of the camp. We had a class on soap and lotion making. The class was handled by two members from Gandhi Bhavan. The session was from 10.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M. 

      The procedures involved in the preparation of soap and lotion was elaborated in meaningful way and this made us enjoy the session.

SANCTITY DAY 4

 We had a visit to a place of historical importance.The first destination was Chitarall followed by Thiruparappu water falls and then Kanyakumari.At last we had a DJ party and foundation dance. The trip was really memorable and sweet.

SANCTITY DAY 3

 Today we had cultural programme in the morning session .Everyone participated in it with great enjoyment. Then we had a session named "നാളയുടെ അധ്യാപകൻ" handled by Rahul sir.

In the afternoon we had a visit to the heritage building and reflection session. There comes an end to the residential camp.

SANCTITY 2k23 DAY 2

 Today we had an aerobics session in the morning from 7.00 - 8.00 A.M. The session was handled by Jithi J.G, physical instructor ,CET. It was very interesting session .Everyone of us has enjoyed the session. 

Session 1 

First aid

The session was organised by Fire and rescue, District fire station ,Thiruvananthapuram. Rajani anchored this session. Jeevan sir has handled the session. He has carried out the program in an interactive manner. The session was carried out through some interesting questions. First he asked about the first aid which we give for burning injuries. He introduced about first aid to be given for choking and the technique for giving CPR. We got hands on experience of giving CPR. It was a very useful session in total.

Session 2 

Be Safe & Strong 

The session was handled by Self -Defence Trainers, Kerala Police, Thampanoor Police Station. It was a very useful session. They had given a brief discription  about the various types of  violences taking place around us. They also had introduced some self defence techniques. The session was very informative.

Session 3

Artificial Intelligence

The session was handed by Sri. C. Saju Raveendran, Liaison Officer, Mithra Nikethan, 

West Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. It was a very informative session. He introduced 2 AI applications,namely; YOU and ChatGPT.

Mobile Addiction

SANCTITY 23 DAY 1

As part of our B.Ed. curriculum we had a 5 day residential camp at Mitranikethan, Thiruvananthapuram. Everyone of us has gathered at the place and registered their names to the registration committe.

Session 1 :

The inaugural session was done by our college principal V K Santhosh Kumar sir and the joint director of Mitranikethan,  Dr. Raghu Ramdas. He gave a speech on the relevance of organising community programme and the necessity of this in the field of teacher education.

Session 2 :

Introducing the heritage building & Visiting the building

The session was handled by  Sri.C.Saju,

     Manager, Mithra Nikethan, 

    West Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. He gave a speech on the history and relevance of the place. It was a very useful session and his words really admired and inspired us to visit various buildings in the premise. He mentioned the history of Thiruvithankur and various kings.

Session 3 : 

  Sharing of Experience with Special Educator
