DAY 32

 Today the topic I dealt with was types of frictional force. This was done with the help of ICT and examples from daily life.

DAY 31

 Today I had taken class as part of my project work. Manipulatives were used to teach the students how to balance an unbalanced equation. The students performed well using the manipulatives. Students were grouped into in such a way that every group contains atleast 3-4 students. I could complete the class smoothly.

DAY 29-30

 In class 9 I taught the portion valency. The students were made draw electron dot diagram and they were taught the method to calculate valency. I had conducted diagnostic test in class 9 A. In class 8 a general introduction to force was given.

There was an assembly in the morning . It was conducted by 9A students and there was prize distribution for the winners of quiz competition and football champion.

DAY 26-28

 Topics such as retardation and acceleration was taught in class 8 with the help of ICT. Students were made do problems related to these areas.

DAY 25

 As part of moon day there was a rocket launching demo at school auditorium. Suresh sir was the main one behind this idea. The students were taken to the auditorium and they were shown the model of rocket launching. Also there was an exhibition of video related to description behind this mechanism. Two students commented the session and our beloved head mistress addressed thee students. It was really an exciting moment for the students and all others who gathered the function.

DAY 24

 The topic uniform and nonuniform velocity was taught to students. ICT was used as a teaching aid.

There was a quiz competition as part of science club for high school students. Sayona of 10 A bagged the first prize and Anoop of class 9A bagged the second position.

DAY 23

 The portion electronegativity was discussed today. It was done with the help of PowerPoint presentation. The students were made do problems related to this.

DAY 22

 The topic I dealt today was covalent bonding. The classes were handled with the help of PowerPoint presentation.

REFLECTION SESSION

 Today we had a reflection session at college .The student teachers shared their experiences . The teachers too reflected the session  The experience was a blend of positive and negative experiences. These sort of sessions really help to excel in teaching field.

DAY 21

 The topic I dealt today was uniform and nonuniform speed.. The classes were handled with the help of PowerPoint presentation. There was an observation of the same class by anju teacher. The main theme of the class was to introduce the topic through problems. The students responded well and I could handle the class as expected.

DAY 20

 The topic of discussion in 9B was covalent bonding. A link was given to students through the examples of various ionic compounds. The electron dot diagram of covalent compounds such as F2, Cl2, O2 was introduced to students. Also there was a discussion on sharing of electrons and formation of single ,double and triple bonds.

DAY 19

 Today I taught the portion speed and velocity in class 8A. The use of ICT really helped to teach the topic. Few problems were also given to students to make students understand the concept well.

In accordance with world population day, social science teachers  conducted a quiz and poster making competition for high school students. Students participated well in the competition.

DAY 18

 The second chapter of chemistry Chemical bonding was introduced to the students. The electron dot diagram of elements was introduced to the students through models.

There was a meeting under the supervision of H.M to implement of project of making the school campus a green world i,e to plant more plants and clean the surroundings.

DAY 17

 The diagrams of Bohr model of various atoms was taught in class today. The students were made to draw the Bohr atom model. Home works was also provided to make the concept clear. 

In class 8 the concept of distance and displacement was taught. Activities and problems were given to make the students develop skill to distinguish distance and displacement 

DAY 16

 Today I had class on  8 A. I took the chapter Motion. There was an introduction given an reference body. An activity was also given to students. Then the topic distance and displacement was discussed. Problems were given to students in which they were to find the distance and displacement as stated in the question.

DAY 15

 Today I conducted a test paper on 9B based on the chapter Measurements and units. Students performed well. There was a quiz competition conducted by malayalam teachers. It was done as a part of reading week. Sayona of 10 A bagged the first prize. 

DAY 14

 Today I dealt with the topic rules to be followed while writing units. Various problems were given to students and in class 9 I dealt with the topic isotopes. The isotopes of carbon was given and the students were made to find the number of protons, electrons and neutrons in each case and from this they concluded that isotopes differ in the number of neutrons.

DAY 13

 Today I taught the area electronic configuration and the manner in which electrons are filled in K,L,M shells. I also made students understand the method of finding the number of protons, electrons and neutrons in various atoms whose atomic number and mass number are known.

DAY 12

 Today there was a class on 8B based on the rules for writing the units . Students were given many examples to find the correct method of writing units.
