DAY 46

 Today I taught the chapter World of Carbon. The catenation ability of carbon was discussed in detail. The idea of hydrocarbon was made clear to the students. The ability of carbon to form single, double and triple bond was depicted using compound structures. All the doubts regarding the portion was discussed.

We student teachers of SMV school has organised a Career guidance package with graphical representation. The programme was given to class 10 students and 9 of us has given equal contribution to the same. I had given a class on the topic Jobs after Graduation. I discussed various jobs in state and central sector such as University assistant , railway and Bank related jobs etc. It was a useful session for students to choose their career path.

DAY 47

 Today I had taken the health education class in class 8. The topic discussed was Balanced diet. The topic was delivered with the help of PowerPoint presentation. The definition of balanced diet and the necessity of following this was made clear to the students .Various deficiency diseases such as scurvy, beriberi was also detailed in class.

DAY 45

 Today I taught the area of preparation of Chlorine. Video was shown related to the topic and the various uses of Chlorine was discussed. In class 8 the area of static electricity was taught through Advance Organiser model. The terms which is under the area was proton, neutron, electron,charging and static electricity. Through various experiments the students were made clear the idea of static electricity. The main concepts delivered were certain substances on rubbing attract other substances. Also the subatomic particles of an atom was introduced to students. Activity card was given to students to consolidate the idea. The class was effective in terms of realisation of learning objectives.

DAY 44

 Today I had started a new chapter in class 8. Static electricity was introduced to students through experiment using paper and scale. Students were very much interested to do the activities. The idea of static electricity was made clear to the students.

In class 8 students were taught The World of Carbon. They were given activity regarding the basic information of carbon. The electronic configuration, valency were discussed. Also the term allotropy was introduced in class. The various forms of carbon such as diamond and graphite was introduced in class.

DAY 43

 Today I had taught the portion 'Preparation of Oxygen' in class 9. The students were taught the same using videos which interested the students. The preparation of oxygen by decomposition of KMnO4 was shown. Through the video presentation the students were made clear the idea of decomposition reaction . The importance of oxygen was discussed in class and the students were taught the combustion reaction of oxygen. 

DAY 42

I had classes on 8th and 9 standards.  In 8 standard I taught natural frequency  and in class 9 the topic oxygen. 

DAY 41

            Today I  dealt with the portions pitch and loudness on class 8.  9 standard students were taken to chemistry lab under the supervision of the concerned teacher. They were shown experiments based on acidic and basic nature using pH paper. Students were very much interested to do the activities. 

DAY 40

        Today we had school assembly. It was organized by 8 standard students. The students presented the topics in a nice manner. Our HoD has visited for class observation. I taught the portion propagation of sound from the chapter sound . The topics were presented through experiments and activities. The students were made to perform activities to make the concepts clear. The students answered and responded nicely. Charts, activity card, pictures were all used in the class.

DAY 39

         In class 9 I taught the preparation and chemical reactions of hydrogen. The students were made to distinguish between various chemical reactions. Follow up activity was also given to the students. There was a observation of health education. I dealt with the topic HYPOKINETIC DISEASES. I handled the class with the help of PowerPoint presentation. With the help of pictures and diagrams the definition, causes, effects and examples of the same was discussed.

DAY 37

     Being saturday students were less in number. The students were given small activity. The free time was used to prepare notes for the students.

DAY 38

         I had class on 9 standard. I dealt with the portion hydrogen from chapter Nonmetals. The class was taken with the help of ICT. Students were very active and energetic. They were very curious to answer the questions. I was able to convey the ideas and handle the class in a proper manner.

         The students were given orientation regarding the Young Innovation programme. Also students were taken to the library. They were made read books .

 A new chapter was started in class 9. The concept of Nonmetals was taught to students in connection with the chapter periodic table. The students were very much eager to listen the class carefully and systematically.

DAY 34

        The school reopens today after the Xmas Vacations. All the students were very eager to get the answer papers. As teacher trainees we too got a chance to be a part of the same. Very much happy and excited to be a prospectus teacher.

DAY 26 - 33

            The Xmas exams has started for the students. All the students prepared well for the exams. There was exams in forenoon and afternoon sessions. The school closed for Christmas vacation on 23rd December.
