Sajan, Assistant professor NSS Training college, Ottapalam was the resource person. It was an informative session and helped us to clarify all our doubts regarding the blog creation.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME
As part of B.Ed. curriculum, capacity building programme was conducted via Google meet. My topic was "Innovations in teaching".
A teacher of this new normal era should be flexible in nature in terms of technology, subject competency and skills. The need for innovations is of utmost importance. The topic under discussion includes the various strategies of innovations to be applied in classroom situation. The choice of method should suit the topic under discussion. An advantage to point out with this strategy is that there can be a shift from teacher centred to student centred learning atmosphere.

Technology is a powerful tool and it is playing a pivotal role in transforming all aspects of life. It facilitates all educational participants and develops advance relationships between teacher and student. In this developing world teacher must be flexible enough to go through various technological innovations and apply it efficiently in classroom situation.

FIELD VISIT
As part of curriculum, we Physical Science optional students along with our teacher visited Kerala Metals and Minerals Limited on 16 March 2022. It was a one day trip. We also visited Sambranikodi and Varkala.
The field trip has helped to develop organizational skills, leadership quality and the need for proper planning in various acitivities.
COLLEGE UNION INAUGURATION AND ARTS FEST
The College Union Inauguration & Arts Fest of Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thycaud was held on 10th and 11th of March, 2022. The inauguration was done by Shri. Ishan Dev, musician. All the students actively participated in the programmes.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION
Govt. College of Teacher Education has celebrated International Women's Day in collaboration with IQAC on 9th March 2022 @10.00 A.M. Dr. Lekshmi Nair, Director Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research was the chief guest.
An inspiring talk was delivered by Lekshmi ma'm. It threw light on the need for equity of all the genders.
SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND SCIENCE CLUB INAUGURATION
National Science day is celebrated every year on February 28 to remember the great invention of Raman Effect by the Indian Physicist C.V. Raman.
The National Science day was celebrated at Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud on 28 February 2022. The programme was a successful initiative under the guidance of the conveners of Science club. The theme of this year was "Integrated approach in science and technology for a sustainable future".
The official inauguration was done by Dr. Jayasree T.K., principal of GCTE. This session was followed by a talk by Sri. A.V. Satish, Scientific officer, Kudamkulam Nuclear Power Plant. An exhibition and quiz was also organized on behalf of Science club.

SCHOOL INDUCTION PROGRAMME
As part of B.Ed. course we had 5 days school visit. By following the curriculum I and my friends visited Govt. H.S.S. Balaramapuram. Our school visit duration was from 19/01/2022 to 24/01/2022. It has helped to gain an idea about the day to day functioning of the school and to familiarize with the academics and the extra curricular activities in the school.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION
Govt. college of Teacher Education, Thycaud has celebrated the Christmas on 22 December 2021. B.Ed. and M.Ed. students actively participated in the celebration. The function was inaugurated by Rev.Blysu Varghese, Superintendent, Marthoma Vayojana Mandiram, Kattakada. He gave away the Christmas message.
Various cultural programmes were organised by the students; dance performance, carol songs etc,.
NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY
Mathematics department has organized a quiz competition on behalf of National Mathematics Day on 22 December 2021. B.Ed. and M.Ed. students from various optional subject participated in the quiz competition. Abhirami M.R. of 1st year B.Ed, Commerce optional got the first prize and I got the second prize.
